Signs-symptoms of paratyphoid fever:

Signs-symptoms of paratyphoid fever are almost same as those of typhoid fever except-

1. Course of paratyphoid fever is shorter

2. Severity is less

3. Onset of fever is more sudden

4. Acute enteritis is present from the very beginning

5. Rose red spots are more plentiful

6. Intestinal bleeding or perforation is less common in paratyphoid.
