Metabolic disorders are the conditions when abnormal chemical reactions interrupt the process by which the body gets energy from the foods containing proteins, carbohydrates and fats. These metabolic disorders are either congenital caused by inherited enzyme abnormalities or acquired caused by diseases of endocrine system or failure of a metabolically significant organ like liver.
